Francesca Davis is the newest board member at Family Christian Health Center (FCHC). She comes to the board with an eager and willing spirit to work to help others in the healthcare field. She is a Christian who believes in Jeremiah 29:11, which says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Francesca sees FCHC as the place that will help her accomplish this belief by helping the underserved and underprivileged people in the communities see their plans and hopes come to fruition.
Francesca has over seven years of program evaluation and government affairs experience. She currently serves as the Clinical Operations Manager for Chicago Public Schools (CPS). In her current position, she manages and oversees the day-to-day operations and implementation of the COVID testing program; facilitates communication between the district and testing vendors to ensure testing expectations are being met, escalating critical concerns to the vendor for awareness and resolution; develops district-wide communications regarding testing, compliance, and other related issues to the nearly 340,000 CPS students in 600+ schools.
Francesca received her training and education at Spelman College (BS in Biology), Governors State University (MHS in Addiction Studies), and University of Miami (MPH). She has always had a spirit for volunteerism, which she continues to do as an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
When she is not working or volunteering, Francesca enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.
Deane C. Taylor

Deane C. Taylor has been in the field of pubic heath care for more than 25 years. Now retired she currently serves on the board of AIDS Alliance a Washington-based organization established 1994 to give voice to the needs of women, children, youth and families living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. In this role, she works with HIV/AIDS service providers interested in developing clear, ambitious and achievable results-oriented services. Deane continues to pursue her passion of making accessible coordinated, comprehensive, psychosocial services that result in positive medical outcome for women, children and family and looks forward to sharing her knowledge. In her spare time she enjoys reading fiction and spending time with family.
Donna R. Hart

A seasoned, results-oriented Healthcare Executive with a proven track record in planning, delivering, supporting, clinical and financial systems in a large integrated healthcare system. Demonstrated success in leading the implementation of cross-functional projects including electronic ambulatory/inpatient health records, revenue cycle solutions, and business applications that meet the needs of the healthcare enterprise. Dynamic, engaging leader with the ability to align information technology with the hospital’s strategic, financial and operational goals.
Donna began her career at Cook County Health System in 1996 and held several leadership positions including Hospital Information Systems Director (Provident Hospital), IT Operations Officer, Acting Associate Administrator and retired in 2018 as the Chief Information Officer for Cook County Health System. She was integral in launching the MyCookCountyHealth patient portal, designed to advance patient engagement. At HIMSS 2015, she earned a Health Information Technology Men and Women Award for her work in leveraging technology to enhance care. In addition, under her leadership CCHHS achieved HIMSS 7 EMR Adoption Model status. She was also recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women In Healthcare IT.
Donna began her career in the US Army in 1975 and retired from the US Army Reserves in 2005. During her career she’s held various technology leadership positions at Hollister Corporation, Community Health Training Center Chicago (Springfield Urban League) and IBM Corporation.
Donna holds a B.S. in MIS from Chicago State University.
Tonya S. Roberson, PhD, MPH, DTR

Dr. Tonya S. Roberson is the Director of Community Engagement, Program Development and Academic Support at Governors State University in the College of Health and Human Services. She has over fifteen years of biobehavioral and social sciences research experience with extensive recruitment and selection capability experience. This experience is backed by twenty- five years of clinical nutrition/food service systems management experience which was acquired in large academic medical centers, healthcare organizations and community-based settings. Dr. Roberson is a Governors State University Alumni, she earned her master’s degree in public health at DePaul University and a doctoral degree in Community Psychology from National Louis University.
Dr. Roberson has diverse experiences in health care leadership roles as a nutrition manager, research administrator, community organizer, and educator. Dr. Roberson has a particular expertise in methods to address health inequalities, health promotion theories, and models to assess the holistic health of African Americans in the urban centers. She has done extensive community work in the region and explores field opportunities with various community organizations for GSU students.
Dr. Roberson is well connected and trusted in the Chicagoland communities and serves in many leadership roles increasing awareness about various research initiatives with successful implementation. She focuses on health education and disease prevention strategies to promote improving the quality-of-care and quality-of-life of persons coping with a life-threatening illness. Dr. Roberson has a profound passion for nutrition and its relationship to health and chronic disease. Dr. Roberson strongly believes that education is “key” because it gives a person option and helps them to make informed decisions. She is committed to giving generously of her time and talents through her community organizing efforts and outreach work to encourage self-advocacy and educate audiences about the importance of making healthier lifestyle choices to maintain a quality life.
Dr. Roberson is the Past Chair of the Community Based Public Health Caucus for the American Public Health Association and currently the Health and Mental Wellness Committee Chair of the Far South Chicago Coalition’s Quality of Life Plan and Content producer and host of the Far South Chicago Coalition’s Health and Mental Wellness Committee’s Friday Health Talk of the week Facebook Live. She is also the President of the National Community Based Organization Network (NCBON) and an active member of the Person-Driven Outcome Measures That Matter Advisory Panel.
Ayanna Gardner

Dr. Ayanna Gardner’s first experience with family Christian health center was as a young mother and Family Christian Health Center’s CEO, Dr. Green, was her family physician for her new born, which was 18 years ago. Since then Ayanna has matriculated through school and received her Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Science from Howard University.
For the last 12 years Ayanna has practiced pharmacy in a retail setting and has work as a Pharmacy Manager for most of her tenure. In addition, she has studied for her Masters in Business at Governors State University. Ayanna has a strong passion for giving back for the betterment of her community. She has donated her time and held leadership positions within various civic, community, and health organizations. Most notably, she has served in the Thornton Township Young Democratic Organization, NAACP South Suburban branch, and now she is a proud to serve as Assistant Secretary to the board at Family Christian Health Center since February of 2019.
Vernice Davis-Clark

Vernice serves as a member for the Family Christian Health Center board of directors.
She has served in this capacity for the last 5 years and has been apart of the Family Christian Health Center family or the last 22 years. Currently, Vernice is a R.N at Advocate South Suburban Hospital where she also serves as Chair of the Shared Governance Committee and Nurse Practice Council.
Vernice prides herself in advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves through excellent patient care and community wellness. Vernice resides in Homewood, IL with her husband, Jason, and is the proud mother of Anthony, Nya, and Ethan.
Kimberly Jones Saunders

Kimberly has been a Family Christian Health Center board member since 2017. She currently serves as Secretary.
Kimberly is a 27-year veteran educator for Chicago Public Schools, where she teaches Journalism and Television Broadcast Technology. She also produces socially relevant documentary films about African American life and culture, and has a particular interest in screenwriting and cinematography.
Kimberly received her education from the University of Michigan and the Ohio State University. She is a member of the Chicago Teachers Union, the National Association of Black Journalists and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is also a board member of the Blair Holt Memorial Foundation and the
Media Communications Department Advisory Board at Kennedy King College Chicago.
Kenneth McGhee

Kenneth brings over two decades of health care experience via strategic and operations improvements in various hospitals settings; community hospitals, physician owned hospitals, large academic hospitals, and multi-facility health systems. Areas of experience include departmental improvements, patient flow optimization, expense reductions and project management. Other areas of interest include performance management, budget process design and metrics within an accountability setting.
Prior to joining Loretto Hospital, he was the CFO of Pinnacle Hospital in Crown Point, Indiana a Physician Owned Hospital where he lead a financial turnaround of a struggling hospital which resulted in an increase in net profits by greater than 20% in the first year. Before Pinnacle Hospital, Kenneth worked for several hospitals throughout the Chicagoland area.
Kenneth holds a Master of Business, and Master of Finance, and a Master of Healthcare Administration all from Robert Morris University in Chicago, Illinois.
Karen Jacobs

Karen has been a member of the Family Christian Health Center Board of Directors since 2013. She has held several executive board positions and currently serves as President.
Karen is a dedicated Sales Professional with over 11 years of experience selling in the Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device spaces. Previous to sales, she spent five years as a Corporate Trainer at Oak Forest Hospital of Cook County during which she earned multiple professional certifications including Training Manager/Director, Instructional Designer/Developer, Performance Consultant, and Master Trainer. Karen received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Michigan and has recently been accepted into the Cornell University Executive Master of Health Administration, M.H.A. program. She is a married, mother of three daughters and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc – Joliet Area/South Suburban Alumnae Chapter.
Toya Harvey

Luke 12:48 says, “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required.” This is the life principal of Judge Toya T. Harvey. Judge Harvey, a lifelong resident of the Chicago Southland, is a proven person of scholarship, service and integrity. As a Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County
assigned to the First Municipal District, Judge Harvey currently presides over cases in the Traffic and Forcibles Divisions located at the Daley Center in downtown Chicago. Prior to her appointment by Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne Burke, Judge Harvey was an Assistant Public Defender on the
Suburban Homicide Taskforce in the Sixth Municipal District in Markham, Illinois. She is a graduate of Western Illinois University where she received a Bachelor’s of Art in Pre-Law Honors/Political Science and was a member of the Order of Omega and the Mortar Board, both collegiate honor societies.
She also graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the Boyd College of Law at the University of Iowa. While in law school she was a member of the Iowa Law Review and served as a local, regional and national officer/committee chairman in the Black Law Student Association and a Lieutenant Governor for Minority Affairs in the American Bar Association-Law Student Division.
A Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Judge Harvey began her service to her beloved Sisterhood in 1988 at the Zeta Iota Chapter while on the campus of WIU. She has served and continues to serve the sorority on many levels and currently serves a member of one of its international
committees. Judge Harvey has continued to forge the paths of leadership in her community as well. She’s currently on various boards including serving as the Board Vice President for Family Christian Healthcare Center, FQHC and Executive Board member for the juvenile diversion organization, Life
Choices We Make. Judge Harvey is a 10 year Girl Scout Troop Leader, a community speaker and a mentor. A former All-American Athlete, Judge Harvey enjoys sports, fishing and, most importantly, being the mother of two outstanding young ladies of leadership, Morgan and Taylor.
Lisa Green

Lisa Green, D.O., M.P.H. is the CEO and a co-founder of Family Christian Health Center and has been a physician at the health center since its opened its doors in 2000. As FCHC’s CEO, Dr. Green has more than 16 years of experience practicing family medicine and providing leadership as a physician and executive. Prior to assuming the role as CEO, Dr. Green served as FCHC’s Chief Medical Officer for many years. Dr. Green received her M.P.H. in health, policy and administration from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in 1995 and her Doctor of Osteopathic medicine from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa in 1991. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.
Dr. Green received the Crain’s Chicago Business Healthcare Hero 2020 for her outstanding work with Black Maternal Health and Feeding the community health food to strengthen the immune system. Her current professional affiliations include member of Institute of Medicine of Chicago (IOMC), served as the Board of Directors for Ingalls Provider Group., voluntary faculty for the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and associate faculty for the University of Illinois, Nurse Practitioner Program, ECHO advisory board member, U of Chicago and a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Ms. Webster-Cross is an original member of the Family Christian Health Center team, who celebrated 21 years with the organization in April, 2021. As Director of Community Health & Programs, Ms. Webster Cross directs the organization’s development, outreach and education, marketing, advocacy & 340B initiatives. Ms. Webster-Cross’s leadership in establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships and donor outreach; coordination of FCHC’s advocacy initiatives; and development and management of the organization’s community health programs, is integral to Family Christian Health Center’s mission to address social & economic determinants for the community and population and increase access to care.
Les Hockenberry

Dr Hockenberry has been a physician at the health center since 2005 after spending 3 years in a private multispecialty group. He has maintained board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics since 2002 and most recently was certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine in Clinical Informatics in 2018. He continues to work with the Quality Improvement programs at the health center. His professional interests include care of chronic diseases and information systems. Outside of work he is an avid reader, runner, and loves to backpack with his family.
