With over 10 years of experience in healthcare and practicing in various health settings as a Registered Nurse (RN), I decided to further my education to become a Nurse Practitioner (NP). I have gained a wealth of knowledge and practice with patient care in the areas of ICU, Med-Surg, Oncology, Telemetry, Hospice & Home Health, RN Case Management, Women’s Care, and Clinical Instruction. As a native of Chicago’s Southside, I have a passion for teaching and educating individuals in the Black and Brown community, specifically teen moms. It is my desire to continue making a difference through education, preventive care, and role model behaviors.
My Approach to Health Care:
I believe in a holistic approach to healthcare through value-based care. The patient is the primary focus. Ongoing education with preventive care is the key to optimal patient care. It is imperative to change the narrative of health disparities in Black and Brown communities in hope to eliminate care gaps. My overall goal is to empower the patient to have a stronger understanding of their healthcare needs while providing quality care.
