A seasoned, results-oriented Healthcare Executive with a proven track record in planning, delivering, supporting, clinical and financial systems in a large integrated healthcare system. Demonstrated success in leading the implementation of cross-functional projects including electronic ambulatory/inpatient health records, revenue cycle solutions, and business applications that meet the needs of the healthcare enterprise. Donna began her career at Cook County Health System in 1996 and held several leadership positions including Hospital Information Systems Director (Provident Hospital), IT Operations Officer, Acting Associate Administrator and retired in 2018 as the Chief Information Officer for Cook County Health System. She was integral in launching the MyCookCountyHealth patient portal, designed to advance patient engagement. At HIMSS 2015, she earned a Health Information Technology Men and Women Award for her work in leveraging technology to enhance care. In addition, under her leadership CCHHS achieved HIMSS 7 EMR Adoption Model status. She was also recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women In Healthcare IT.
 
Donna began her career in the US Army in 1975 and retired from the US Army Reserves in 2005. During her career she’s held various technology leadership positions at Hollister Corporation, Community Health Training Center Chicago (Springfield Urban League) and IBM Corporation.
 
Donna holds a B.S. in MIS from Chicago State University.
