I completed my Master’s degree from Governors State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016. Prior to that I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Family Social Services. Over the past ten years of working in the social services field, I have gained experience in inpatient mental health/substance abuse at a community domestic violence agency. The populations I have worked with include women, men, adolescents, and groups. I have helped individuals cope with issues including life stressors, relationships, trauma, self-harm, and substance abuse. I have enjoyed each opportunity to support and empower adolescents and adults during times of transition and healing.
Your Approach to Health Care:
My goal is to always create and maintain a comfortable and safe place for my patients. I know that no single approach is right for every patient therefore I look at a variety of methods to create a personalized approach for each individual and setting. I believe that change happens when individuals are given support and I believe in mutual development of goals for counseling.
