Greetings FCHC family: My name is Deneen P. Brooks. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations. I am humbled by the opportunity to have 30 years of experience in the Human Services Industry, which entails a background in child welfare, adult guardianship & behavioral health. In addition, I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers & Clinical Social Workers Association. As a new FCHC provider, I am eager to grow and blend my talents as we work to promote healthier lifestyles and increase awareness concerning mental health.

Your Approach to Health Care:

As an LMSW and LCSW I am committed to helping clients manage their mental health responsibly by developing practical and effective coping strategies to confront day-to-day challenges, while working to reduce symptoms that are associated with anxiety, depression and trauma. I am equally passionate about building therapeutic relationships using a clinical framework to empower clients to become engaged. Patients should be able to freely participate in their treatment planning as they work to achieve recovery goals one session at a time. Although recovery looks different for everyone, behavioral health has created a space for individuals to grow together.
